Sarah is an Emmy Award Winning Journalist and anchors FOX CT's Morning Newscast with Logan Byrnes. She also solo anchors the FOX CT Midday Newscast. Sarah joined the FOX CT News Team in October 2008.
With the passing of her dear friend and colleague, Alice Morrin, Sarah has focused her attention toward a 911 Texting Bill. It is Sarah's goal to have this bill passed nationwide. Click here to read more.
Prior to FOX CT, Sarah worked for the Olympic News Service in Beijing, China, covering women's artistic gymnastics for the 2008 Olympic Games, interviewing athletes such as Shawn Johnson and Nastia Liukin. Click here to read more.
Previous to working with the Olympic News Service, Sarah was an Anchor/Reporter at the NBC affiliate station, KOMU-TV, in Columbia, Missouri. While reporting, Sarah worked as a one-man band, covering assignments as a photographer, reporter and editor. Sarah is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, where Walter Williams founded the world's first school of journalism in 1908. During college, Sarah worked as a staff writer for Life & Home Magazine, establishing a monthly health and fitness column. She also worked as an intern for NBC Universal in Burbank, CA, where she assisted in the production of NBC's annual Press Tour. While in Los Angeles, Sarah was a host for NBC's local television show, YourLA.
Sarah was also Miss Missouri 2006. She went on to compete in the Miss America Competition. The Miss America Organization is the world's largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women. As Miss Missouri, Sarah worked as a spokesperson for the Susan G. Komen Foundation and Children's Miracle Network, traveling the state giving motivational speeches and speaking with young students through a program called Right Decisions, Right Now.
Living in Connecticut, Sarah has become very involved with the community and the people here. Sarah works with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Susan G. Komen Foundation, Interval House (a women’s shelter, providing services to prevent and break the cycle of domestic violence), and she continues to speak in schools throughout the state. Sarah is a proud member of Cherokee Nation. In 2006, she was asked to speak at the National Trail of Tears Conference in Springfield, Mo.
